Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one session without the need to change devices. They also can save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean, complete dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
You could, for instance, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. best automatic vacuum is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only problem is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the cleaning history on the app will show you exactly what the robot accomplished, where it's moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
The docking station comes with a handy LCD screen that displays the need for maintenance like emptying the debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is well laid out and easily understood however we would have liked to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may miss.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its path automatically and clean around the objects without missing a step.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-filling.
The only downside I've discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to remove the mount for washing manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its smart design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry debris. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also comes with an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to get under low-profile furniture which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice touch that assists the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that are restricted to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and user-friendly, and the X40's smart features are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many features that make it an excellent option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect the moment when the mop pad has reached its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has many features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful method to keep your home clean for longer.
There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or you can utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are many features that other robots do not have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, rather than using a manual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, with metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It's heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy either, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. They can also reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
